The Los Angeles-based World Ballet Company, headed up by Gorskaya-Hartwick Productions, is a touring ballet production company with their love for reimagining classical ballet traditions at its core. The company recognizes and celebrates global talent and the everlasting appeal of ballet with a border-transcending cast of 50 accomplished dancers from 10 different countries, captivating the senses and speaking to the heart with brilliance in every production.

Inspired by Russian and German folk tales, Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse. Prince Siegfried, who was urged by his mother to marry soon, heads out to the forest, where he witnesses a swan transforming into the beautiful Odette. The only way to break this spell is for someone who has never loved before to truly love her. However, the sorcerer has his eye on the kingdom and sees an opportunity to trick Prince Siegfried with a secret weapon that looks remarkably like the innocent Odette.

Swan Lake has become the world’s most beloved ballet, despite its initial failure. Set to the most iconic music in classical repertoire by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and original choreography by Julius Reisinger, the ageless masterpiece premiered in 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In 1895, Swan Lake underwent a revival under Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, upon whose version most ballet companies base their staging.

The phenomenal, multinational corps de ballet that will mesmerize the audience from beginning to end has been hand-picked from internationally acclaimed ballet institutions across Europe, Japan, the United Kingdom, Belarus, and beyond. The cast comprises the wonderful principal dancer Andrea Lassakova, who will grace the stage as Odette and Odile, and Constantine Geronik as the head jester, supported by a new generation of virtuosos including Angelina Zgurskaya, Maxim Vlas, and Kyunsoon Park.

One of the West Coast’s most beautiful theatres will be home to the perfect union of music and dance. The Paramount Theatre Seattle can accommodate up to 2,807 seated patrons across the main floor and three mezzanines for what promises to be an unforgettable experience, leaving the audience in absolute awe!
