In 1995 Gregory Maguire published the book, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, paving the way to make a brand-new musical and another trip back to the land of Oz.
Taking a deep dive into the musical reveals the truth behind Oz’s most iconic witches, leaving audiences around the U.S. mesmerized by this exciting tale. The unlikely yet profound friendship between Elphaba and Glinda encourages the debate over “good vs. evil”. Elphaba, the notorious Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, turns out to be a surprisingly likeable and charming person.
