It’s that sweet spot where rawness and romanticism meet. It’s that post-punk feel with a generous serving of art rock on top. It’s suave, it’s sinister, and it’s swirling.
It’s The Psychedelic Furs and The Jesus and Mary Chain live in concert at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, bringing everything and more! The landmark venue can host up to 3,000 fans across various seating levels: an orchestra floor, three mezzanines, and a loge – every seat is a good seat for the raw art rock on show!
The Psychedelic Furs were born out of the post-punk musical landscape in the United Kingdom over four decades ago, with their self-titled debut album peaking at number 18 on the UK charts. Their subsequent album “Talk Talk Talk” smashed head-first onto the Billboard 200 chart. The Psychedelic Furs quickly became a staple on college and rock radio, spawning major hits such as “Love My Way”, “Pretty in Pink”, “Heaven”, and “The Ghost in You”.
The touring line-up comprises compelling and old-school frontman Richard Butler, bassist Tim Butler, keyboardist Amanda Kramer, guitarist Rich Good, and drummer Zack Alford.
The Jesus and Mary Chain just celebrated their 40th anniversary, and after all these years, they are still hailed as one of the most influential bands of their generation. The sublime fuzz-rockers have an enduring connection with electronic music and a punk attitude interwoven into their swaggering rock and roll.
The Jesus and Mary Chain released a new album in March 2024, “Glasgow Eyes”, which was received with glowing reviews. It’s all crunchy guitars, angsty vocals, and a washed-out sound over deceptively simple melodies, from the catchy “American Born” to the neo-futurist “Mediterranean X Film”, from the sludgy shoegaze confection “Pure Poor” to the fun-loving “The Eagles and The Beatles”. It’s undeniable: The Jesus and Mary Chain is “riding a wave of gorgeous fuzz!”
Frankie Rose is set to wow the crowd with her confident songwriting, lush atmospherics, and transcendent vocal melodies. With tracks such as the ethereal “Pair of Wings”, the moody, poppy “Know Me”, or the singalong “Night Swim”, her legacy is cemented.
