They’re the world’s most influential alt rock band from the late 80s. They’re the innovative geniuses that brought you smashers such as ‘Monkey Gone to Heaven’, ‘Here Comes Your Man’, and ‘Velouria’. They’re the pioneers of many musical techniques still used in alternative rock today.
They’re the Pixies, and they are coming to the Paramount Theatre Seattle on 23 June 2025 with their 2025 North American Tour, supported by special guest Kurt Vile and The Violators!
And what is more, is the fact that the Pixies will be spending two nights at Paramount Theatre Seattle, with 23 June 2025 seeing them perform their iconic albums ‘Bossanova’ and ‘Trompe le Monde’ from front to back, and 24 June 2025 a classic Pixies set!

The news that the Pixies will be coming to the iconic Paramount Theatre Seattle this summer is music to any alternative rock lover’s ears!
Black Francis and his sidekicks are absolute legends - a musical odyssey with massive influences on the alternative rock scene of the late 1980s and 1990s. Just think about those iconic Pixies musical techniques - the dynamic ‘loud-quiet-loud’ song structures, the surreal lyrics touching on interesting subjects such as extraterrestrials, the whispered harmonies, the innovative guitar work, the extreme dynamic shifts, the stop-start timing: those techniques were all popularized by the Pixies, and were absorbed into the music of iconic bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Weezer, and the Smashing Pumpkins. When Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ went charging up the charts, it was said that it sounded like a Pixies song. Bono from U2 mentioned that the Pixies made the most compelling music of the entire 1980s, while Radiohead’s Thom Yorke said that the Pixies “changed my life”.

The Pixies are slated to hit the road this summer with their residency-ish 2025 North American Tour, performing twice in each city. The tour is kicking off in Las Vegas, Nevada, in mid-June 2025, canvassing the nation before wrapping up at the start of August 2025 in St. Paul, Minnesota. On the first night, it’s full throttle on the iconic ‘Bossanova’ and ‘Trompe le Monde’ albums, from the very first track to the last. On the second night, the Pixies will be performing a classic best-of set, together with some music from their 2024 album, ‘The Night The Zombies Came’.
The Pixies are here to make music and they mean business. They are antagonistic, influential, contrary, unsettling, and just plain brilliant.
The Pixies will be supported on tour by Kurt Vile and The Violators, known for bangers such as ‘Pretty Pimpin’ and ‘Like Exploding Stones’.
Nothing beats the landmark Paramount Theatre Seattle when it comes to legendary performances. The venue sports variable seating for up to 3,000 diverse music lovers, spread across the main floor, loge, and three mezzanines.
