Les Miserables at Paramount Theatre Seattle

More than 40 years ago, a star show was born when Claude-Michel Schönberg, Alain Boubil, and Jean-Marc Natel created the initial play script for Les Misérables (initially in French). Based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel of the identical title, Les Mis was adapted and turned into a live stage adaptation performed as a fully lyricized play, which was a unique approach to stagecraft in that era.

Adding together all its productions since its first showing all those years ago, the stage adaptation of Les Mis is as it happens, the longest-running stage play in the entire world.

With almost 4 decades in West End alone and not even listing its productions in foreign locations, including and definitely not limited to its sold-out shows on Broadway, it is with certainty that Les Misérables endures and is excellent in the eyes of the play's fanbase. The plot and the fully sung-through score, which revolves around redemption, passion, and unrequited love, always brings each viewer to tears due to the evident heart behind each song and act performed. Les Misérables has become so critically-acclaimed that it has been turned into motion pictures several times and has been met with glowing reviews even on another medium.

This coming April’s run of Les Misérables brings it to Washington, where the show will be hosted on Sunday 19th April 2026, in Paramount Theatre, Seattle.
