Paramount Theatre, located right in the heart of Seattle and one of the premier venues in the city, is so excited to welcome Ms.Jorja Smith and Maverick Sabre to the stage for a show that we’ll be sure to be talking about for years and years - or, at least until she goes on tour again! Touching down right here on Friday August 8th, Jorja’s 2025 Falling or Flying Tour will be hitting stops all across the globe - including spots like Summer Sonic in Tokyo, two nights at the Apollo in London in June, the O2 in Glasgow, the Roxy in Atlanta, Chicago, and of course, right here at Paramount in Seattle.
Jorja Smith is a force in not only her sultry singing abilities and lyrics, but also her collaborations and the splash she has made on the R&B scene in her career that is only a decade old. Right out the gate, she saw major collaborations with artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Popcaan, and Kali Uchis. She was voted Britain's Best Female Artist back in 2019, and her debut album Lost & Found peaked at Number 3 on the UK Album Charts - and this was all in the first five years of her professional career folks. She picked up on playing the piano when she was eight, and she studied classical singing while in school. She got scouted at the age of fifteen, and moved to London right after graduating High School to work full time as a musician - already writing and collaborating with artists like Maverick Sabre and Ed Thomas. And with twelve cities only listed on her North-American run of shows this year - it’ll be a treat to catch Jorja while she’s in town blessing us all here at Paramount.
“This album is like my brain. There’s always so much going on but each song is definitely a standstill moment,” Smith told Rated R&B Magazine. “It touches on breakups, relationships with my friends, relationships with old friends, relationships with myself. It’s definitely about a lot of relationships, but every song I write I can sing it to myself.”
Jorja has only begun to find her stride in the music industry ocean, but she continues to deliver honest and heartfelt soundscapes to us every chance she gets. If you haven’t heard her new album yet - first check that out. Then, get tickets to her show here in town. And finally, thank us later after the show! We can’t wait to see you!
