Bauhaus is one of the biggest names in English rock which began its journey in 1978. Initially, they were named Bauhaus in 1919 but later decided to shorten the name. They had a reputation for their unique dark image and gloomy sound even though they mixed several genres, including psychedelia, glam rock, dub and funk. They are known as one of the biggest influences on contemporary goth culture, and their 1979 debut single, Bela Lugosi’s Dead, is one of the most influential songs in gothic rock music. They achieved mainstream success by releasing their third album, Kick in the Eye. It gave them widespread international recognition, and soon they were playing on some of the biggest stages across the world.
The band disbanded in 1983 and then reformed later several times with different formations. In 1998, they got together to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a 20th-anniversary tour followed by a 2005 performance at the Coachella music festival. In 2019, they reunited once again to play three shows in L.A and since then, this will be their first headlining tour. Even after years of performances, they are still expected to bring incredible energy to the stage, and if you want to catch one of the biggest names of English Gothic Rock live in concert, get your tickets right now before they are all gone!
