The Willoughby Tucker Forever 2025 Tour

This summer, “Punish” singer-songwriter Ethel Cain will be hitting the road on tour, following the release of her sophomore album “Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You” this August. You can expect her to perform her deepest songs, fan picks, and new music. Taking you back to her younger days, the album is speculated to be a prequel to her debut LP “Preacher's Daughter.” Looking back at her relationship with Willoughby Tucker and her friend Janie, it’s bound to be a deep-dive into deep-rooted emotions.

The Preacher’s Daughter

Ethel Cain hails from Tallahassee, Florida and raised in Perry. She grew up in a Southern Baptist family and was part of the church choir at a young age. Hayden Silas Anhedönia, the artist behind her moniker “Ethel Cain,” started making music in 2017 under different names and stuck with “Ethel Cain” taking inspiration from the biblical figure. She came out as gay to her family at the age of 12, and later shared with the public that she’s a trans woman on her 20th birthday. Embracing her true self, the singer’s music provides closure to the varying depths of her heart, taking listeners on a deep-dive into the ins and outs of her life story.

Though her family had already left the church, Cain has shared on Tumblr that she still lives out the values she was raised on — kindness and loving your neighbor. This is something you can definitely feel if you’re part of her tight-knit community of fans. Celebrating her music and having each other’s back, her impact is huge.

In May 2022. She released her debut album “Preacher’s Daughter,” that navigates the life of a teenage girl juggling her religious upbringing and handling an abusive lover. Led by her intricate lyrics and transcendental vocals, the album is a critic favorite, named one of the best albums of the year.

Maddi Harding of The Bubble shared that the album is “an immensely emotional and spiritual experience, which I implore everyone to hear for themselves.” Reflecting on life and coming into terms with trauma, it’s a heavy piece of art that beautifully encapsulates lessons, realizations, and closure.

To Willoughby Tucker,
