There's no doubting that the story behind The Lion King is one that resonates with people on so many levels. Yes, the 1994 animated film was aimed at kids, but it's a rough story to say the least. It takes a prodigal son style of arch that has kept folks in theaters at the edge of their seats as they watch the story unfold since 1997. These are mostly people who already know the story! It's incredible to think that the Lion King continues to sell out performs on Broadway and across the world even though most people know how the story is going to end.
