The Lion King is heading to Paramount Theatre in Seattle,Washington. Simba, Mufasa, Scar and all the beloved animals will be taking the stage on Sunday 7th December 2025.

Listed presently as the third of Broadway’s longest-running shows of all time, Disney’s The Lion King has continued to amaze audiences worldwide with multiple productions that have performed in not just many cities in the U.S., but also Europe, Canada, and Asia among others. On December, the musical adds one other to its list of productions as The Lion King will be performing in Paramount Theatre at Seattle on Sunday 7th December 2025!
The Lion King, since its inception and adaptation to the live stage in 1997, has changed the landscape of Broadway and theater entirely. With a timeless tale translated creatively to the live stage with the unique introduction of life-sized puppetry of animals and an African-inspired music list and choreography, the musical was referred to as an spectacular show to both lovers of the original motion picture as well as even new theatergoers.
Building up on a show with a strong plot, the historic play is also certainly one of the most applauded plays in every single award season the show was part of. In just a year after its debut, the musical was nominated for over 20 awards, getting 6 Tonys at the time including Best Musical, Best Scenic Design (by Richard Hudson), Best Choreography (by Garth Fagan), Best Lighting Design (by Donald Holder), Best Direction of a Musical and Best Costume Design (by Julie Taymor). The award bestowed for Best Direction of a Musical is considered important, as Julie Taymor is the first woman to ever be presented with the award.
