Seattle, if you love bad news, read this:

It’s been 20 years since Modest Mouse dropped their iconic 2004 album, “Good News for People Who Love Bad News”, and the good news just dropped: Modest Mouse will be hitting the road with an anniversary tour celebrating their landmark album, and will be making a stop at the Paramount Theatre Seattle on 30 October 2024 with special guests The Black Heart Procession!

The album that broke Modest Mouse from the underground scene into mainstream rock and brought you hits such as “Float On”, “Ocean Breathes Salty”, “The World at Large”, and “Bury Me with It” remains the rock behemoths’ most commercially successful work – so many great songs and hits – and the good news is that we’ll get to see them perform live!

A killer of a night is on the cards – certainly one not to be missed! Tickets are priced to go from only $84 and are selling like hot cakes, so hit that button right now and get yours before they’re all sold out!

It is good news for people who love bad news, and we are all over it!

Even after two decades, after establishing themselves as one of the most diverse and talented acts of the rock music landscape, Modest Mouse has lost none of their potency - they are focused and tight, have a great sound, and have an energy and vibe that can blow the roof off. They’re robust and entertaining, and they have enough staples and fan favorites to hook a jazzed-up crowd from the get-go!

Modest Mouse has been dabbling in indie, early punk and alternative rock, and post punk revival since they first got together in 1993. Their 1996 debut album, “This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About”, and the subsequent albums “The Lonesome Crowded West” and “The Moon & Antarctica” were received with massive critical acclaim, but it was the 2004 album, “Good News For People Who Love Bad News”, that brought them mainstream success. The album ranked among the best indie rock records of the decade, went double platinum, and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album, and the single “Float On” for Best Rock Song.

The good news is that Modest Mouse released an expanded reissue of “Good News for People Who Love Bad News”, of course featuring the hit singles “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty”, but also containing eight bonus tracks, including brand new remixes from Poolside, Jacknife Lee, Dan The Automator, and MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden.

More good news: you can catch Modest Mouse live, on your doorstep! The Paramount Theatre Seattle has seen a multitude of world-renowned acts dating back to the Roaring Twenties, making it one of the hottest, most epic venues around. Thanks to the theatre’s convertible seating system, it can host up to 3,000 standing patrons, or 2,807 seated patrons. Seating is spread over the orchestral floor, loge, and three mezzanine levels, providing options for every preference and budget.

Modest Mouse will be supported by special guests, indie rock icons The Black Heart Procession. The group has released 7 studio albums since their formation in 1997 and had many massively successful hits, such as “A Cry for Love” and “Fade Away”.
