Any film and series loving fanatic would be familiar with the love exploits of England’s most notorious playboy. King Henry VIII is famous for having six wives but has managed to have them divorced, beheaded, dead, divorced, beheaded, – well the last one survived! This time, a retellling of this compelling story takes a turn! The six wives gather together to fight for the grand prize in a singing contest – but it’s not about who sings the best, but who suffered in the hands of the king the most! Who will reign supreme?! From what began as a humble musical in Edinburgh Fringe by former Camrbidge University students Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow, this masterpiece transitioned from a school project into a full blown mega production! Both Moss and Marlow took inspiration from the Beyonce concert the docuseries titled Six Wives, and Antonia Fraser’s book Six Wives of Henry VIII and together they created this dynamic pop belting powerhouse they titled Six. The musical opened in a student led event at Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, followed by a U.K. tour the following year. By 2019, Six has reached the glistening district of London’s West End with a massive production featuring direction by Moss and Jamie Armitage. Soon enough, the musical finally hits Broadway in 2021. 

Six is definitely giving the ultimate production as it brings the six wives – Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr – centerstage! These queens will be belting out an original score featuring music and lyrics by Moss and Marlow. Brilliant moves bring the performances to life thanks to the incredible work of Olivier Award nominated choreographer Carrie Anne-Ingrouille. The production also brought in some of the most talented folks in in the West End circuit, including music supervisor Joe Beighton, award-winning scenic designer Emma Bailey, award-winning costumer Gabrielle Slade, lighting designer Tim Deiling, and sound designer Paul Gatehouse.

This 2024 to 2025, Six will once again embark on a national trek in the U.S. and cover 20 major cities, including a coveted stop in Paramount Theatre Seattle.
