The the 16-city Autopoiética Tour 2024 across North America kickes off in May at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, and travels across the country through Austin, San Francisco, and more before finally wrapping up right here, in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre on May 31st. The tour is to support her eighth studio album, the November 2023 release, Autopoiética, exploring themes of self-discovery, motherhood, and navigating life’s challenges. The Autopoiética Tour 2024 aims to bring these themes to life, showcasing Laferte’s wide dynamic range, musicianship, stagecraft, and presence.
Mon Laferte is not just the best-selling Chilean artist of the 21st century, the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter is also a Four-time Latin Grammy Award winner, with a staggering 17 Latin Grammy Nominations, and two-time Grammy nominee, with over 1.5 million digital records sold in Latin America. Her latest album, Autopoiética, is described as “A fever dream painted in garnish primary colors… hypnotic and subversive, the album is never afraid of its own intensity,” by Rolling Stone Magazine, and, “On Autopoiética, the Chilean songwriter’s voice haunts, and at other times, it spellbinds, all while unraveling intricate sonic layers and diverse influences.” by Billboard Magazine. The title track off the album, “Autopoiética,” blends electronica and pop influences, while “Pornocracia” takes a stance against the objectification and exploitation of women in society. “This album is about breaking free of all the ties that bind. This album is about not holding back. That is how I define success: being free to create,” Laferte said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I feel happy and successful to be a creative, 40-year-old woman who doesn’t have to follow any musical trend to be fashionable.”
